Notes from the Bench...
Bouse Agate
There is something more than a little magical looking about this gem.
Found in Arizona, it's a relatively rare material characterised by swirling, contrasting hues of purple, red, and blue that can range dramatically from dark to light.
It polishes to a glossy, almost mirror finish and looks especially striking set against a bright silver bezel.
Just gorgeous.

Provenance
The Bouse Agate I use in my studio comes from a highly skilled lapidary artist based in Yorkshire. He sources the material directly from the States, and cuts and polishes each gem individually in house.
.
Care
Agates are relatively durable and resistant to everyday wear making them a good choice for rings, but as with any other gemstone piece, care should always be taken to avoid knocks, drops and contact with chemicals.
